With increasing numbers of patients seeking care at Silverton Hospital's Emergency Department, there is a critical need to expand the facility and add more treatment rooms. A $311,000 remodel project is underway. The Silverton Hospital Foundation has committed to raise the full amount needed, and asks for your help.
By the end of this year, over 25,000 people will have sought care from our Emergency Department at Silverton Hospital. Maybe you or someone you know were among those who needed medical care in a hurry. Day and night, weekends and holidays; accidents hit, illness worsens. From motor vehicle accidents to chest pain, from ear infections to appendicitis, things happen that require immediate attention. We all get our turn.
Work has just begun to add five new exam rooms and update our current space. This will bring more privacy for patients, better efficiency for staff, improved security and comfort. Our current space was built in 1994 when patient volume was one-third of today’s numbers. As hard as the doctors and nurses work to see patients quickly, more space is needed to help serve our growing communities.
