The
values that guide Silverton
Hospital employees are
captured in our creed,
composed by one of our
own nurses —“Committed to Compassionate
Care for our Communities.” We
seek people who share
these values and who can
put them into action.
We pride ourselves on taking care of our own, knowing that employees who
are healthy and supported are better able to do their jobs well and participate
in community life.
Paid Time Off:
Silverton Hospital removes the accrual distinction between vacation, holiday
and short term sick time. Employees may plan time off more effectively
to meet both their needs and the staffing needs of their departments.
Full-time employees earn 200 hours (based on 2080 hours worked) of paid time off (PTO) annually for
the first five years of service. After five year, 10 year and 20 year
anniversaries, an additional 40 hours can be earned.
Part-time Employees accrue PTO on a pro-rated basis.
Extended Illness Bank:
In the case of extended illness or injury recovery, full- and part-time
employees may access these hours after they have used 24 hours of PTO
for an illness or injury. Full-time employees earn 48 hours (based on 2080 hours worked) of EIB annually.
Part-time employees accrue EIB on a prorated basis.
Flexible Benefit Plan:
Silverton Hospital's Flexible Benefit Plan offers eligible employees personal
choice for medical, dental, life insurance and short-term disability and
supplemental life insurance coverage. A generous employer subsidy is included
in the Flex Plan: a Section 125 Cafeteria Plan that allows employees to
pay health and dental premiums on a pre-tax basis. We also offer health
and dependent care reimbursement accounts, which enable participants to
use pretax dollars for these expenses.
403B Retirement Plan:
Silverton
Hospital is partner in
helping employees plan
for secure retirement.
Employees may begin contributing
to our "Plan Your Future" 403(b)
retirement savings plan
immediately upon employment.
We participate by offering discretionary and employer matching contributions
for eligible employees after 2 years of employment. |
