Cost Estimate – With Medicare

Medicare insurance has very specific information that you can access directly. To determine how much you will owe, review the Medicare and You 2008 Handbook, published by the Center for Medicare Services. Pages 110–113 of the Handbook list deductible, coinsurance and premium rates for 2008.

Some services may not be covered by Medicare. If this is the case, you will be asked to sign an Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN). You will be financially responsible for the charges for that service. Page 85 in the Medicare Handbook describes ABNs.
