Gifts from generous donors have helped Silverton Hospital create a warm, comfortable environment for families.
The purpose of the Silverton Hospital Foundation is to advance the work of Silverton Hospital through philanthropy. Created as a separate nonprofit corporation in 1986, the Foundation is led by a 15-member board of directors who serve voluntarily.
Funds raised over the past 20 years, exceeding $10 million, have been invested solely in improvements to the facilities and equipment of Silverton Hospital.
As the cost of providing hospital services continues to rise, it becomes increasingly difficult to pay expenses, replace equipment, and upgrade our facilities. Charitable support is essential. Silverton Hospital receives no local tax support, and the hospital provides a significant amount of free medical care to individuals who have no ability to pay.
Every gift is important. If you would like to consider a gift to Silverton Hospital, please contact the Foundation office at 503·873·1791.
